I always wondered where cancer, asthma, hormonal imbalances, fibroids and other health problems came from. I'm not saying they all come from chemicals in our cleaning products, but it did make me decide to ditch and switch. The biggest reason was I experienced losing someone to cancer first hand.

  I still remember the day I realized I was alone in the world, with no parents. What do you call that? I was too old to be an orphan but I was too young to have been without them. I loss my mom to cancer when I was 14yrs old, and my dad passed away when I was 23. That was such a lonely time for me, I moved in with my sister, her husband and their two children. I was such a girly girl then, I stayed with my nails polished lol. My brother consistently complained about the chemicals from the polish, and I thought he was tripping. Then my other sister started using Method products, and I thought she was just boujie. But that's because I wasn't aware of what the products in my home and on my skin was doing to my body.

  Since making the switch to a natural home, I don't cough half as much as I used to. I barely get sick anymore, and my menstrual cramps are no where near as bad as they used to be. I feel so much better, and I love having a little extra control over what I'm using. The best part was I no longer had a fear of kids or pets getting into the cleaning cabinet.
